He crawled his way under a fence, asking for help due to bullets and heartless human!

Arthur is lucky to be alive. And that is not an understatement. This beautiful, precious Corgi was shot between the eyes, and apparently left to die. But, Arthur did not die. Instead, he crawled his way under a fence to a family farm, and eventually found his way to safety with us.

We received the call about a dog that had wandered onto a property in Lancashire. He had a wound to his head, and they thought it was from crawling under the fence of the property. With no luck finding its rightful owner, it needed somewhere to go. But, when he arrived, something wasn’t right.

The wound on Arthur’s head was large, and it was covered with debris. He was in too much pain for a full examination, so pain medication and antibiotics were started. Arthur had been shot at a slightly too steep angle and missed his brain. But, he was alive. He has been in hospital since his arrival and is being treated for his gunshot wound. He remains the most gentle and friendly boy. He loves everyone he sees and craves attention and affection. We are hopeful that Arthur will make a full recovery, but bullet fragments remain. It may require specialist care to get rid of them.

They laughed and then they cried and hugged me and told me I was lucky. Give me a paperless bone, please and thank you. Merry Christmas! Love, Arthur!
