A faithful, abandoned dog waits for his family to return in the pouring rain, showing incredible loyalty.

While shelter volunteers were on their way to the dog rescue shelter in Mladenovac, Serbia, they spotted a dog on the road, alone in the rain.

As they approached, the dog left the road and ran off into the bushes. As the rescuers approached, the dog began to show signs of aggression, but only because she was scared.

They tried to coax her with food, and after many attempts and much patience, the dog finally decided she would trust them.

She allowed them to pet her and even pick her up and put her in their car. They then took her to their shelter and decided to name her ‘Lady.’

She was already feeling so much better now that she wasn’t stuck in the cold, pouring rain. Thankfully, she was given a clean bill of health and the best care and love.

Only a month later, Lady was adopted by a loving family! She now has a big yard to roam and play in with her new pooch brother, as well as a warm bed to sleep in, rather than being left out in the rain.
